I am just over 17 weeks now. Everything is going well so far. Patrick and I went to the doctor last Wednesday, and he said the baby is doing good. He has a small ultra sound in his office, and we looked at the baby. He or she (we’re not sure yet) is growing!
We set an appointment for January 27 when we will find out what we are having. I will be 20 weeks by then. We are excited to find out! Any guesses?
Most of our family members think we’re having a boy and a friend I taught on my mission has told me I will have a boy first for the past five years. So we’ll see! A few have said we’re having a girl (well, Patrick’s brother is the main one, and a girl in our primary class). I’ll post when we find out.
We’ve picked out a few names. If it is a girl we like Allison (call her Allie). This is after the lady from my mission that I taught that I mentioned above. We’re really close, and I’ve always wanted to name a girl after her. We also like Samantha. If we have a boy, we like Tyler.
Here is a cute story… A few weeks ago in our primary class (we only had one girl that day) we asked Anna what we she thought we’re having. She said, “A girl.” Then we asked her what we should name her. She said, “Allie.” We were surprised because she had no idea what names we’ve picked!
Wow Shannon! I am so excited for you. It will be fun to get the updates on how you are doing!

I’m excited for you two to find out. I think you’re having a little boy. Whatever is it, I hope he or she is healthy and strong. Congratulations again!

Good to hear that things are going well. I’m pulling for you guys to have a boy. Then, Avery can have a little friend close to his age. (Although, he could be friends with a girl, too.) Either way…. it’ll be fun. I love the names you have picked out. Very cute. Can’t wait to hear when you find out what you’re having. It’s an exciting time! Congrats.

So exciting!
I am dying to find out what we are having too… I’ve felt from the beginning it’s a girl but we’ll have to wait and see. They couldn’t fit me in for a scan at 20 weeks so I’ll have to wait an extra two weeks! :-/ I hate waiting!!
You are looking great (NY pics)! I’m not as big as you yet… That was very surprising to me!
Hope you are feeling well and that you are having fun preparing. (Enjoy it. There’s barely anything to prepare the second time which is a bit boring. But MUCH cheaper!!
Love you! Ax
